Valentines Day!

Yesterday I worked all day and then at 5 I rushed home to tidy the house and get all the food prepped and cooked. We didn't end up eating till 8 which is okay, because well.. to be honest that's about the time we eat every night because of Jon's work schedule! None the less it was a lovely night and we enjoyed each others company along with some of our favorite home cooked foods. We also throughly enjoyed not having to fight the crowds to eat at a restaurant. We indeed enjoyed our evening. Here are a few photos of our evening

My gaugeous flowers =)

All our yummy food

Table.. duh

Two of Jon's all time favorite sweets. Cookie cake (from Kroger because they have the best.duh.) and dove milk chocolate.

Us of course

And then there is the mess, that yes, I left all night long

I just love valentines day, not because it is a day to be showered with love but instead a day to shower someone with love. It is very important, for the health of our relationships, that we make sure the ones we love know just how special they are to us. Not just on Valentines day but every day! Valentines is just a day to make my special husband feel extra special, because he is.. extra special =)

When thinking about my marriage and my amazing husband who loves me so dearly and unconditionally I can't help but to be reminded of how much my heavenly father loves me. I mean that is what marriage is, a portrait of Christ and his undying, unconditional love for His church. How comforting and reassuring it is to know that my God loves me so! He loves me so much that he chose to bless me with a husband who loves me so much! To know Christ is to know love, and with out that knowledge of Christ we could not know that perfect unconditional love that we can not get rid of or throw away even if you wanted to! How amazing! Thank you Father for loving me so much

  1. We did the same thing (but on Sunday instead of Monday). It really is nice to just relax at home instead of fighting the restaurant crowd sometimes.

And yes, I left all my dishes for the next day, too :).
